What we remove from concrete flatwork
Our crew cleans sidewalks, curbs, entrance pads, drive-thru lanes, parking spaces, and garage decks. High-traffic zones near doors get extra attention, and gum is treated individually before the surface is cleaned.
- Chewing gum flattened into sidewalks
- Oil, antifreeze and transmission fluid in parking spaces
- Food and drink spills near entrances and patios
- Tire marks and rubber buildup in drive-thru lanes
- Algae and mildew in shaded walkways
- Bird droppings under canopies and light poles
Hot water for grease, controlled pressure for concrete
Gum and petroleum stains do not respond well to cold water. Our equipment produces heated water that softens gum and emulsifies oil so it lifts out of the concrete pores. Rotary surface cleaners spread pressure evenly, which cleans large areas quickly and avoids the stripes and etching that a handheld wand can leave.
Before cleaning, we pre-treat oil spots and heavy grime with degreasers. Runoff is managed to protect storm drains, and we place cones and signage as needed to keep pedestrians and vehicles safe while we work.
Benefits of professional parking lot and sidewalk cleaning
Reduces slip-and-fall risk
Removing grease, algae, and buildup makes walkways safer and helps limit liability.
Welcoming entrances
Clean sidewalks are the first thing customers walk on. Gum-free concrete looks well-maintained.
Extends pavement life
Clearing oils and debris reduces surface breakdown on concrete over time.
Cleaner interiors
Less dirt outside means less dirt tracked into your lobby, store, or restaurant.
Scheduling around your traffic
Parking lots and sidewalks are busiest exactly when your business is open, so timing is everything. We typically schedule this work late at night or in the early morning hours, cleaning in sections so part of the lot always remains usable if needed. For 24-hour businesses such as gas stations, hospitals, and convenience stores, we coordinate with your staff to rotate cleaning zones and keep entrances accessible.
Seasonal timing matters too. In Cincinnati and Columbus, winter salt and de-icers leave a white crust on concrete that can damage the surface if it sits too long. Spring cleaning removes that residue, while fall cleaning clears leaves, berries, and debris before they stain. Many restaurants and retail centers set up a recurring schedule so their entrances always look fresh. We can also include curbs, drive-thru lanes, outdoor dining areas, and loading docks in the same visit for a complete exterior refresh.
For shopping centers and HOAs with large paved areas, our high-output equipment means fewer hours on site and lower disruption, and we can provide photos of each cleaned zone for your records.
